Webinar

·       Research highlighting delays in cognition, emotional regulation and movement if  the cerebellum and vestibular system are underactive and how stimulation can help in babies and children.

·       The Vestibular System, how does it work? An overview of the receptors /inputs, and it’s role in balance and eye coordination and autonomic function

·       The main pathways to and from the cerebellum, how we can use these for assessments and exercises

·       The cerebellum’s significant influence on motor milestones and the postural Reflexes.

·       Ways to assess development of the cerebellum in babies and children.

·       Neurology and development of the TLR, STNR, ATNR, Spinal Gallant and Amphibian Reflexes, where are they in the nervous system, what they do and which regions of the brain will modulate them.

·       Central consequences of manual therapy and sensory therapy including a review of afferent pathways

Seminar Saturday

·       Assessment of the Vestibulo-cerebellum with demonstrations and Practical

·       Vestibular rehab, demonstrations and practical

·       Assessment of the intermediate and lateral cerebellum with demonstrations and practical.

·       Therapies for the intermediate and lateral cerebellum demonstrations and practical

·       Summary of Cerebellum tests and therapies, ways to combine visual, proprioceptive and vestibular rehab with what we taught in the first seminar.

·       Neurology of the Tonic Labyrinthine Reflex, what it stimulates, what inhibits it and functional difficulties when retained.

·       Assessment of the TLR with Demonstration and Practical

·       Interventions for the Tonic Labyrinthine Reflex through the developmental stages

Seminar Sunday

·       We will go through the Neurology of the Asymmetric Tonic Neck Reflex, Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex, Spinal Gallant and Amphibian reflexes where they are, what they do and which brain regions inhibit them and discuss the functional difficulties children have when each is retained.

·       Assessments and Interventions for each of these four reflexs through the developmental stages will be demonstrated and you will have Practical Time for each one.

·       Presentation of Cases Shelley & Darren have seen and / or Live case demonstration if possible, with either we’ll discuss how to order and prioritise assessment and therapies.
