This ICAK Intermediate Peripheral Joint & Nerve Entrapment Course is designed for practitioners with prior training in manual muscle testing (MMT) who wish to deepen their clinical skills in assessing and managing peripheral joint dysfunction, extremity muscle imbalance, and nerve entrapment syndromes.
The course focuses exclusively on the upper and lower extremities, progressing into clinically applicable material that integrates neurological, biomechanical, and functional assessment principles.
Participants will develop greater confidence in the evaluation and correction of peripheral dysfunction, with emphasis on common yet often challenging clinical presentations involving the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. Both muscular and joint-based approaches will be explored, alongside key ligamentous and neuromuscular considerations.
The course will cover assessment and management of conditions such as slipped bicipital tendon, AC joint sprains, suprascapular nerve syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve entrapments, ankle and foot dysfunctions, knee syndromes, and piriformis-related patterns, with extensive hands-on practical application throughout.
Teaching will be practical and clinically focused, providing participants with immediately applicable tools to enhance their assessment and management of extremity-related dysfunction.
