Are you seeing babies with feeding difficulties and feeling unsure what you are seeing or what to do next?

Join chiropractor Dr Mike Marinus and Erika Thompson tongue tie practitioner and midwife for a practical training day that will help you better understand breastfeeding mechanics, tongue tie, fascia, jaw function, and your role in pre and post frenulotomy care.

What will you get out of the day:

  • Identify what effective breastfeeding looks like and how to recognise when feeding is not efficient and needs your support.
  • Understand positioning, attachment, and the physical abilities a baby needs to feed effectively.
  • How milk is made and why this matters clinically.
  • Understand what tongue tie is, how it is assessed and diagnosed, and how a release procedure is performed.
  • Know the anatomy of the tongue, jaw, fascia, and muscles involved in feeding.
  • Understand tight fascia can affect feeding mechanics and the wider body.
  • What signs such as high palate, receding jaw, asymmetrical bite, biting jaw, and poor suck reflex may actually mean.
  • How chiropractors and tongue tie practitioners can work together for better outcomes pre and post frenulotomy.
  • Practical techniques for supporting infant feeding before and after release.
  • Leave with a clear step-by-step approach to assessment, adjustment and retraining that you can use in practice straight away.
