I am originally from Canada (Toronto, Ontario) but later lived in Vancouver in British Columbia; have also lived in United States (Iowa, Illinois, and Louisiana), Malaysia, and Australia (Queensland and South Australia)
I graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1977 with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Microbiology.
After my Undergraduate degree, I studied chiropractic graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario with a D.C. in May 1983.
Clinical Practice: I was in private practice in British Columbia from July 1983 to October 1994 then relocated to Palmer College in Davenport Iowa in October 1994 and there until October 2008; I relocated to Australia and was in private practice in Sandgate, Queensland from November 2008 to February 2011; after returning to the United States again, I practiced in West Monroe, Louisiana from October 2011 to October 2012; and once again in Australia at Salisbury, SA from December 2020 to the present time.
Academic Experience: I had completed the Clinical Teaching Residency at Palmer in October 1995 and was hired as a full-time faculty in the Palmer Clinics October 1995 to October 2008, achieving the rank of Associate Professor.
After leaving Palmer College, I taught as a Senior Lecturer in chiropractic program units in Malaysia at the International Medical University in Kuala Lumpur (2012-2015), Central Queensland University in Mackay, Queensland (2015-2020), and Australia Chiropractic College in Adelaide SA (2020 – 2023)
Additional Qualifications: I completed the B.C.A.O. in 1997 (Upper Cervical certificate in Atlas Orthogonal work)
I completed the Diplomat in Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedics (D.A.C.O.) in 2005 after completing the studies from 1996-1999.
I had travelled and helped develop at the Brazilian Chiropractic school from 1999 to 2003 in Rio Grande Do Sol, Novo Hamburgo, Brazil where I taught technique and provided clinical supervision.
I had participated as senior clinician in the International Clinic abroad program and had completed 20 health missions at various places around the world. In this capacity, I was able to bring ‘true/raw’ chiropractic to thousands of individuals and saw the amazing impact at how this can change lives.
Family Life:
I have three grown children and 4 grandchildren. My oldest son is a chiropractor in Spokane Washington; my youngest son is a hydraulics design mechanical engineer in Peoria, Illinois for Komatsu; and my daughter is a chiropractor in Peoria, Illinois with specialty in animal chiropractic and acupuncture
I live currently in Peoria, Illinois USA with my wife, Joan. We have been married for 44 years.
I am familiar with several chiropractic techniques and have done TMJ assessments, and orthopedic consultations over the past 30 years and I am currently developing podcasts (several clinical pearls) and seminar series (TMJ, extremity, animal chiropractic/veterinarian).
