In this module 3-hour (3 CPD credit) online-learning seminar we will elaborate on the functional neurological consequences of concussion. Often times, these involve imbalance of cortical and brain stem centres, ultimately effecting the vestibular system, which leads to neuro-vascular consequences and autonomic imbalance. In this session we will therefore review various regions in the cortex, cerebellum, brain stem, and vestibular system, to show how the neurologic integration is linked. Also, we will focus on the integration of eye muscles and intrinsic spinal musculature- which are linked thru the vestibular apparatus. In the practical aspect we will cover diagnostic testing to discover any imbalance in the system, and present various ways in which these may be resolved using a variety of functional neurologic applications. You will be able to pause the video any time you want -or review any specific section of the seminar. At the end of the lecture, you will be invited to take the exam. You need to pass with 85% to claim your CPD credits.
