You will want to learn and become certified in the PIPS (Pediatric Intraoral Palate Specific) Assessment and Technique. This technique was created in 2016 when Dr. Jenna recognized the need for a comprehensive manner to assess oral tension, dural tension, palate, tongue function, lip tie, pediatric TMD and sphenoid fault. This connects truly assessing and recognizing oral motor dysfunction, tension, compensation patterns and (when within scope) correction techniques. This unique technique is a game changer when working to assess and help direct your littlest patients/clients and their families on what is needed for their optimal function and it can even be modified to help assess teens and adults!
